The Sanicubic 2 Pro provides a valuable level of operational protection because it uses two independent pumping systems.

During normal operation, automatic alternation distributes the workload between both motors. During higher inflow, both pumps can run together to increase pumping capacity.

However, a twin-pump system should not be treated as maintenance-free. If one motor develops a fault and the problem remains unnoticed, the installation may continue operating on the second pump without its normal backup protection.

For this reason, alarm warnings, unusual pumping patterns and changes in operating noise should be investigated promptly.

We inspect the complete system rather than replacing parts without identifying the cause of failure. In many cases, a worn service component, a blocked non-return valve or a restricted discharge route can be corrected without replacing the lifting station.

Annual Sanicubic 2 Pro Servicing

What We Check During a Service

During a professional service, we inspect both macerating pumps, motor assemblies and accessible internal components.

We check the pneumatic level-control system, remote control box, wireless alarm, electrical connections, seals, non-return valves and accessible isolation valves.

Next, we inspect the tank for unsuitable materials, grease, detergent residue, limescale and other deposits that may reduce efficiency.

We then test automatic pump alternation, individual pump operation and simultaneous operation where appropriate.

In addition, we examine the accessible discharge pipework, ventilation arrangement and service access. Where a Building Management System connection is used, its interface should also be considered during system testing.

Sanicubic 2 Pro Repairs

Most Sanicubic 2 Pro faults do not automatically require complete replacement. Therefore, every repair begins with professional diagnosis.

First, we test both pumps individually. We then check automatic alternation, simultaneous operation, pneumatic activation and the remote control equipment.

Depending on the fault, repairs may involve motors, macerating components, capacitors, seals, non-return valves, level-control parts, electrical components or alarm equipment.

Where appropriate, we use genuine Saniflo replacement parts.

Because the Sanicubic 2 Pro has two pumps, one operating motor may temporarily mask a fault with the second system. Consequently, we test both pumping channels rather than confirming only that wastewater leaves the tank.

We also inspect the surrounding pipework. A repeated motor fault may be linked to a restricted discharge route, unsuitable valve arrangement or another installation problem.

Our Professional Recommendation

The Sanicubic 2 Pro has a 50 mm external discharge connection. Therefore, we recommend maintaining correctly installed 50 mm discharge pipework throughout the route unless a complete hydraulic assessment specifies otherwise.

The discharge must not be reduced below the manufacturer’s specified outlet size.

Discharge Route and Valves

The discharge route should remain as direct as practical and avoid unnecessary changes of direction.

Correct pipe support, suitable bends and accessible isolation arrangements help the system operate efficiently and simplify future maintenance.

Each pump relies on the complete discharge system. Consequently, a restriction after the lifting station can affect both pumping channels.

Ventilation and Service Access

The 50 mm ventilation connection should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable drainage requirements.

The lifting station, motors, pneumatic level components, control box and valves must remain accessible for inspection and repair.

Placing permanent furniture, storage or fixed building work around the unit can increase labour time and business disruption.

Alarm and Control Equipment

An alarm is an early warning, not a repair. Therefore, wastewater use should be reduced and the cause investigated whenever a fault or high-level warning occurs.

Typical Lifespan of a Sanicubic 2 Pro

A professionally installed and regularly maintained Sanicubic 2 Pro can provide many years of dependable service.

However, there is no single lifespan that applies to every lifting station.

Actual service life depends on operating frequency, wastewater volume, unsuitable materials, discharge conditions, installation quality and maintenance history.

The two pumps alternate during normal operation, which helps distribute operating time. Nevertheless, each motor, macerating assembly, seal, valve and electrical component remains subject to wear.

The tank may remain serviceable for longer than individual pumping or control components. Therefore, the failure of one part does not automatically mean that the complete lifting station requires replacement.

Regular inspection helps identify abnormal running times, worn components, alarm faults and developing restrictions before they cause a major breakdown.

Where practical, service components can often be repaired or replaced individually.
